Have patience. I still cough out tar after 9 months of smoking cessation. But it does not mean that there is no quitting benefits. There are so many benefits and reasons to quit. I take this as healing process. So do not worry.

Everyone is different. I was concerned because I did not cough it up. I thought I killed my celia for good, beyond repair. Yours is working hard to clean house. Be grateful.

We might hit some bumps in the road, but when we arrive at our destination of freedom, you will be so glad that you did not turn back. Hang in there.

You have got your answer Icanquit, in the meantime, get advice from your doctor or chemist in relation to Gerd, there are medications to help you along especially if you find it hard to swallow. I had those for a very short period. All clear now. This was not related to NOT SMOKING it was well before then.
