Two months smoke-free

Posted in Quit experiences 22 Jan 2021

Hi everyone. I had my last cigarette about two months ago and I really didn't have any cravings ever since.

However, the physical symptoms, such as headaches, anxiety, rapid heart beats etc. have been very challenging for me. I did some medical analysis and everything is fine. Therefore, I am incredibly grateful to all of you who have shared these stories and made me realize that this isn't anything unusual.

I highly recommend St. John's wort tea for these anxiety symptoms. It works for me.

Hi and welcome M10. It is great to know that you did not experience cravings. Even I did for those three days going cold turkey, but then I expected it. Just no problems after the 72 hours because I didn't expect any. A member once demonstated that she could step off the nicotine patch after learning the mindset and have no cravings. The mind will play tricks if we let it take control.. We need to just find that desire to quit smoking more than we want to smoke. When we want something, we just do it! When we don't want to we put it off, moan and groan but it does get done eventually. Negative thoughts do not make it easier whereas Positive thinking does!

I have heard of St. John wart and as I recall , should be researched to make sure it is right for you. Chia seeds interacted with my meds and my BP plummeted. Just beware and be careful. I am glad that it is making thing easier for you.

We can quit smoking. Stay in touch with this forum from time to time to stay committed and unwavered. Remember.....NOPE.

Thanks for coming by M10, as suggested it is best to check what side effects and compatibility are in St Johns Wart, I have taken it before, but I now talk to the chemist if I need to. The best anxiety meds is Meditation, eventually, you will be able to do it, very quickly if you practice enough.

You can use it anytime you need to such as going to the dentist, I did about one body scan in my brain (twice) from the tip of my toes to the top of my head, and this put me in a different state of mind every time and was over before I knew it. This can also be used for pain of any kind. Nope is the best Mantra for me too, I still say it every day.

I quit 40 days ago. I have always had anxiety never taken medication for it but I have all of a sudden started having panic attacks and rapid heart beat since quitting.
