2 years quit

Posted in Staying quit 05 Jan 2021

Hi everyone. Its been 2 years since i lit up a cigarette. The time has gone by so fast, even though my first day of quitting seem to go on for years. Quitting was one of the best decisions of my life, and although it was a bit hard at times, and i did'nt know what to expect, i was determined to quit. I think that determination plays a very big part in quitting. I have also saved a lot of money. To those of you who are starting your quit, or struggling a bit, be strong and hang in there. It will be worth it. 🤗💞

I am approx 2.5 yr smokefree. I can very much assume the healthy benefits of non smoking which u r enjoying. I guess one good thing which also happend is that our body got time to prepare itself for covid situation ( better to be non smoker rather than smoker)

Thanks Puff. Almost a year for you. Thats fantastic. I am so very proud of you. Hi Dontsmoke. Well done on 2.5 years. Covid is pretty scary and smoking would not help at all. Not too bad here in South Australia. Stay safe both of you 😊

Happy days Nuts, what a milestone for you...well done
Isn’t life fantastic being free of the slavery.

Yes. You'd have to have a kangaroo loose in the top paddock to afford to indulge these day's.
I might add that deciding to start smoking is lunacy!
Unfortunately, we went Nuts, thinking smoking made us influential, sophisticated, mature and all grown-up! What a great croc that turned out to be!
How Stupid can one be to be hoodwinked into smoking?
Thanks to you guy's here, we finally realize how destructive it is.

Thanks Robn. It sure is great to be free. I will never go there again. Hey Puff, I called myself Nuts because i was nuts to start smoking. I'm keeping that name because i would be nuts to take it up again. Happy smoke free days to both of you

Quite the achievement Nuts. And we were all nuts to start smoking, but we can all be proud for taking the initiative to quit smoking. We faced the fears and won, now to instill that belief in others!

Quitting smoking makes you feel like your sacrificing something, leaving something in spite of..

Becoming a non-smoker is an ideal that you are striving to achieve by desire. CHOOSING a better path to cut out for yourself . When you accept this mindset it all gets easier, quicker.

If anyone should still harbour desires to have a smoke, they should not think that they cannot have one, but that they have chosen NOT To Smoke, that life is great as a non-smoker. At the least acknowledge that it is indeed a trade up!

As Nuts said , determination will take you far. We can achieve what we set our hearts and minds to!

    Congratulations Nuts. Well Done! 👍❤👏👏👏👏👏👏

Thanks so much Broncor. The time has flown by. Hope that you are well and happy. Its so good to be smoke free. I hardly ever think about smoking now. The other day i saw an ad for nicorette gum and i was suprised to think ' oh yeah, i used to smoke '. I actually forgot that i used to smoke. Stay safe Sweetheart
