Stick with it champix

Posted in Quit experiences 02 Aug 2020

This is for those people still smoking past day 10 champix. I didn't stop smoking on champix till day 19 so don't get down on yourself about the quit time frames of others! I'm 6 days smoke free! By day 19 I was down to two a day. Put it out when you don't want it. You do need some willpower still to set a date preferably when your down to two or so a day. I still have the nausea but it's not so bad and sort of helps with cravings. But if you can't handle it take it when your nearly finished eating it helps. I still feel like a smoke occasionally and think oh will it ever go away but ppl rekonon about day 10 it gets better. And the craving is nothing like when you did smoke and were hanging for one

Dont give up if your reading this I'll check in @. Day 12 for a update.

Welcome Rach71, You can select your own date to stop the smokes whilst still on champix, you don't need to follow their instructions for this but you do need to select a start date for giving up the habit of smoking, some have trouble with the dose, mine was too high and I dropped the night one but still managed to continue on without further trouble, it is then the habit which needs to be broken and replaced with new habits, which can stump some of us. Please post again with an update and let us know how you are going
