Some help

Posted in Hints and tips 21 Jul 2020

Hi everyone I'm over the 5 week mark but experiencing strange feeling in my body.

Feel sore if that's understandable.

Yesterday wasn't a good day day feeling very anxious all day I could feel the pit of my stomach is it normal?

I am not an anxious person atal

But I also am waiting on some rest results.

I don't regret my discussion to stop smoking but sometimes I feel like I've added that extra stess to myself for stopping at such a stressful time for me with my health stuff going on.

I no giving up is probably the best thing I could have done right now with my health situations. But I am feeling like super weird since yesterday

Mind is wondering something crazy and worrying about things I can't change I put it all down to I just quit smoking and going through some withdrawal now

You've been through a lot Gemma and I have as well , considering I am recovering from a stroke. I have also had these senses of foreboding and worry too much about things I cannot change. We are both taking steps to do the best we can with our precious time remaining. I know my feelings and anxiety has nothing to do with quitting smoking. I am so happy that I did and that time I healed some made a significant bearing on my recovery.
We did good Gemma. Never doubt that. Now we move on .

Hi Gemma, it is understandable you feel stressed waiting for results, the mind jumps to many things whilst we are waiting. Giving up the smokes is not the reason you feel this way the, waiting for health results is very difficult and the health side of it makes you feel vulnerable. Please give yourself the power to feel whole and a chance to practice dealing with a difficult situation.

If you have practiced meditation during you quitting then return to it with a vengence at this time, every day at least twice a day. This will give you the solution to many situations which you will encounter in your life. Give yourself the words in your head which bring you calmness, try not to look back and blame anyone or anything just think of providing yourself with a powerful tool to help yourself in the now moment. Do not fret about having done the right thing, of course you have, you know that too. Keep on with your new lifestyle, you will never regret that ever.

These weird feelings are surely temporary as far as they are only due to nicotine withdrawl. I can say because I am like close to 2 year mark since I quitted and have seen all.

Stay strong. Don't feel. You have added a problem. Many people fail to reach this 5 week mark. Be proud. Take control of your health. Smoking never helped our body.
