You may always be hungry because you are enjoying food more than ever now since your senses have improved after quitting smoking. Taste-buds are more sensitive and everything tastes better. Your smell improves as well. Stick to nourishing foods with low calories if you feel the need to eat extra. I am glad you are optimistic about the future. Keeping positive thoughts means happy thoughts and contentment. You will succeed !

Hi Sadm3 You are a wonderful Mom protecting your kids like you are, ut remember that they are also having to cope with changes due to the pandemic. If there is no one else in your home and you don't go anywhere, like I said, your home is your safe haven. There is no need to wear masks inside your home or in your yard. Even if particles are disbursed in the air, someone would have to cough right on you, or you have been breathing the same air in an unventilated space for a period of time (an hour) Enjoy your yard. Go for a walk. Greet the neighbours. You are not alone. There is need to be that afraid. I wash the groceries too and anything thing that comes in the house. I leave my shoes at the door and wash my hands on entering. I am careful not to touch anything while I am out . I rest on the benches but do not touch them. I do not feel the need to change. Please let yourself and kids relax in their own home and safe yard. Make the best of the situation.

The one thing you must realize is No you cannot smoke again, this is what you have decided and you need to stick to. As far as panic and feeling overwhelmed, no it is not contagious. Why do you not talk on your social media anymore? you don't need to cut off everyone, just keep your distance physically wash your hands more, and enjoy your children, you can do Art projects with them. NOPE (not one puff ever) We are all in the same boat regarding Covid19, and not smoking.

If you are asking if quitting smoking symptoms are contagious, then rest assured they are not. If you are run down and stressed you may catch something and pass it on, but not likely to do lasting harm.

While the pandemic is not to be taken lightly, most are contained in nursing homes and those who are exposed directly. Of course we need to take precautions, but if you and your kids wash their hands on entering your home EVERY TIME it will be your safe haven. Keep up social distancing and enjoy the family time. Stop fearing and look for positives. You will drive yourself crazy. Things have a way of working out. Most kids and the young are resiliant. Unless you have very bad immunity issues, you should all get through it just fine.

That is why my anxiety and panicking is kicking me.all of distracting that I did dont work because I'm afraid for my kids.they might get this feeling like cold afraid..I isolated my self..but it's almost 2 months and Im still not feeling normal.

Hi Sadm3. 47 days smoke free is great. It takes a while for our brains to realize that we dont smoke anymore. After 47 days its not a craving. Its a memory of a smoke at a certain time. Its the habit thats hardest to break. Tell yourself that you dont smoke anymore and that you can make new smoke free habits. You are stronger than a memory of a little tube of nastiness that had you under its control.
Laugh at it and move on. You can do it. I believe in you 💞

Well said Happiness, begin to name and shame those voices, then throw them overboard. Having control is much better than letting this horrible creature have its say, eventually you will not even get a whimper. NOPE (not one puff ever)

It would be a shame to listen to those little voices. Yes, you can smoke again, but do you really want to? Once you have made up your mind , the voices are futile. They go away..... see them as a stray dog wanting fed. If you don't they will leave. If you do you have a new owner. Do you want to dole out your money for it and feed it on demand? Do you want to feel guilty and powerless? You are the master of your own life. Cigarettes are not even dogs, they are worthless. A dog can be your best friend, a smoke will never be. You are winning. Hold out and soon you will cross that finish line.

You have done amazing don't go back, keeping being strong and continue and these symptoms will pass. In the beginning it was very hard for me. i live on my own so had no distractions, i got a lot of panic and anxiety attacks.
Every day is hard I understand I take each day as an achievement and I am looking forward to my 3 months achievement. Don't go back you are strong look how far you come xx
