I noticed that I am also having some really bad dreams/nightmares. Do others have this as well and, if so, how long did it last?

congratulations on joining the ranks as a non=smoker. you will be glad you did. The nightmares will pass. perhaps taking it a bit sooner before bed will help.

Hello Happiness - I am not on any nicotine replacement or drugs to quite. So, where are the nightmares coming from? Is it my mind's way of fighting with me about not smoking? Is it part of the nicotine withdraw - a month later? Can anyone else give me their experience and thoughts on this.

Your whole body is recognising the changes including the mind, I would suggest it is the subconscious working overtime. Sometimes when I wake and go back to sleep I can remember my dreams, because they are so strong. Not nightmares though. Hot Milk before bed, and why not write out your dreams to give you a clue.
