Day 2

Posted in Hints and tips 16 Jul 2012

Ok so I am on Day 2 of my quit - started taking Champix on 3/7/12 and stopped smoking on day 13.  So far so good - have had some serious cravings today worst was when I got into work and had to face the day without my normal nicotine hit!  Anyway just wondering how others are finding their first week and how long it has taken some of you to stop having the constant cravings (coming every 10 minutes at the moment).  I have smoked for 22 years - around 15 per day.

Karen, It is just over a year since I had my last smoke. Used Champix also. Have not had constant cravings for ages, though I did get a little edgy coming up to my first anniversary. I suspect it was the anticipation and looking forward to my reward.
It is important to note that this is my experience and my not be relevant to you. However, ask yourself to find one good reason to go back to smoking. Unless you have an attachment to olive green I cannot find one. And remember a feeling is not a reason. Can you come up with one good reason? Now that is a real challenge.
