Stories & experiences

I didn't slip :D

Posted in Quit experiences 16 Jul 2012

Just got back from the Gold Coast and feeling very refreshed and proud of myself for not caving.

Last time i was quitting and going really good, i went to the Gold Coast to catch up with some mates of mine, all of which smoke like crazy especially when are having drinks and going out and i ended up slipping an smoking. I was actually getting really depressed cause i couldnt spend time with my friends who were constantly out on the balcony, drinking an smoking while i was stuck inside hiding form the smoke.  Im happy to say that i still had no desire to pick up a smoke. My friends were very supportive/impressed and proud of how good i am going with being smoke-free.

I hope everyone else is doing great :D

That is something rhys, I never had a will power to stay clean when drinks are flowing around :). I am in my third day and I have been a smoker for good sixteen years and relapsed like many a times specially after beer or two. Anyways, that's why I have decided to give up on alcohol for a month and cigarette for good. Will only drink beer after I am sure I have killed this habit for good. Thanks for sharing.

You alone know ur triggers so u do what you need to so u can stay quit. I was the same, smoke and alcohol always went hand in hand with each other and was SOOOO hard to imagine me doing it. When i use to smoke, i never liked to go drinking unless i had smokes so yeh. I know where ur coming from.
3 days is a huge accomplishment! All the smokes u have avoided! Stay strong.
