    hi guys.
we are the first to get to the new year, so we in the lands down under wish everybody a very happy new year and a decade where we can all enjoy the fruits of connectivity of communication, understanding and cooperation.
Australia is having the worst ever fires seen in recorded history, and, I would just like to thank those Europeans, Asians, U.S and New Zealand specialized fire firefighters for helping out. And a very special thank you to tho0se Canadian firefighting logistic experts for arriving last week.
The bush fires are that intense down here in the south eastern quadrant that we now have called on military assistance.
No need for smokes here , because we are either to busy fighting fires or that the smoke pollution is so severe that you dont want to inhale any more smoke.
I'm safe because I live in the middle of a small city, but I do have friends living on the outskirts with some threats of fire burning through their houses.
    personally I'm safe.

Yes Australia is on fire. Its really bad and like PuffNoMore, i say Thank You to our fire fighters. The smoke haze is dreadful . Please pray for us. Hopefully 2020 will be better. Love to all . Lea xxx

    Smoke is so bad ehPuff??
Maybe Happiness and others from different countries will see it on the news.
South coast is really bad at the moment.
    Take care of yourself.
There's enough smoke around without cigarette smoke!
To think we did that to ourselves...
  • Nuts January 01, 2020 | 14:21
We love you too Pisces. You always make me smile😊
  • PuffNoMore, Southern NSW January 01, 2020 | 15:06
So sorry pisces if you thought I ignored you by responding to happs post and not yours. lol. I simply missed seeing your comment!
I think that the 'cold chicken' post is so good that it could be left alone now?
Maybe , It may be better to continue to run off threads to make it even better?
Its your story. What do you think?
God only knows how many people have ripped off their NICOTINE PATCHES because of your story, but it seems a couple have.
Thanks for such an uplifting journey.
  • Pisces24, Central Coast January 02, 2020 | 9:13
    It's probably time PUFF🙋‍♀️
  • Pisces24, Central Coast January 02, 2020 | 13:21
Haha! I didnt think you ignored me Puff.
I think the cold chicken is done.🐓 Bit of fun.
Imagine all these people ripping off their Nicotine patches at once and throwing them into the air!!! So funny Haha..
Like burning our bras!!👙👙👙.. all liberated now!
I guess that by using half a patch I survived... then forgot to put one on and I didnt fall into a heap and survived so why not ditch them. I could progress without them and didnt feel any different and certainly nothing adverse. My "OOH! AHHH" moment.
One of our quitters was kinda doing the same with Champix pills. He was doubting if he really needed them and cut down some of the doseage. its so individual. I guess I didnt understand what I was doing when I first them.. Im not sure I would do it that way again. Object is to give up smoking to BE nicotine free. Gum and lozenges are still feeding the monster even if its only scraps....hes waiting on the sidelines and in the shadows. Dont feed him.
I picture the Nicotine Monster to look like ZOUL in Ghostbusters first movie! Haha! Im crazy today!!!

We are are still alive and safe.
Unfortunately saturday and sunday is forecast to be catastrophic conditions.
My town is ringed by roughly a 260 degree fire-front. When you said prey for us. I thought it was not that bad! I was too complacent. Never could imagine that it could be this devastating to so many people.
I heard that your nearby Kangaroo Island is almost decimated by fire.
I only hope that you dont need to defend your life and home from these fires?
  • Nuts January 03, 2020 | 23:42
Hi Puff. We are ok at the moment. The smell of smoke is terrible. Cant open our windows to cool down the house. i hope that you and your loved ones will be safe. Leave if you have to. Your lives are the most important thing. I am praying for everyone and for lots of rain. Stay safe mate. 😟
  • PuffNoMore, Southern NSW January 04, 2020 | 0:04
oh yeah the smoke is relentless. Im staying to defend my house, if it gets to that stage? I have been helping a few sets of friends prepare their homes for red hot ember attack that live in the bushland areas just out of town. Just in case the fire front breaks through containment lines. I still think they will be ok, although tomorrow and the next day will be crucial. After that we should get some rain.
I am actually praying for that.
    I'll thank god in advance
  • Nuts January 04, 2020 | 0:16
I will be praying as well. On Kangaroo Island, only Kingscote and Penneshaw are safe. I just hope that there are no more deaths. It has to end soon mate.
  • PuffNoMore, Southern NSW January 04, 2020 | 0:28
I'm surprised that the deaths are so few, given the ferocity and the large area and for how long this bush fire season has been going. Ok sure we dont want any loss of life , but every other year we seem to lose lives in some natural disaster.
  • Nuts January 04, 2020 | 0:37
That is so true but we still have 2 months of summer to go. Even 1 death is too many, not to mention our stock and wildlife. I just hate it. Not the best way to start a new year. We will get through it. Aussies are tough xx
  • PuffNoMore, Southern NSW January 04, 2020 | 0:55
take care over there, i think you said once you live in a valley.
well, we have atleast 3 valleys or gorges that are on fire and so inhospitable that can only be water bombed by air. And heading our way. And because of the scale of the fires they are being deployed into heavy populated areas of humans. The wild life is being burned up.
Sad to lose wild life too. They seem to regenerate again, unless they are on the extinct list?
  • PuffNoMore, Southern NSW January 04, 2020 | 1:34
Talking about being on the extinction list.
If you smoke cigarettes, cigars, cannabis or vapes . e cigs Spllifs, joints,Inhalers bongs etc,,,for too long,,,,,,You too could be on the extinction list too.
  • Nuts January 04, 2020 | 10:27
After breathing in this bushfire smoke, i dont know why anyone would ever want to smoke again. Apart from K.I. South Australia's fires are not too bad at the moment. Thinking of you and hope that you and your loved ones stay safe
  • Pisces24, Central Coast January 04, 2020 | 14:09
Thinking of you all too my friends.
This bushfire crisis is nothing like weve ever known. Its everywhere in ebery State of Australia.
Im afraid and saddened for all those poor people who have lost their homes..the wildlife and animals..the pets and communities ruined and destroyed...
Our fire fighters sre so awesome. We thank you all.
    Take care.
Ive recently moved from Forster area where it was horrendous and I thought i was all over.
    It was just beginning.
Its 43 degrees here today. Lucky we have our home and family safe and air con.
    Aussies are strong.
  • Nuts January 04, 2020 | 15:30
Thank you Pisces. I am ok in South Australia at the moment. Our cool change has arrived at last although the smoke haze is terrible. Thanks for your kind words. Yes we are strong and we will get through this and begin again. I am a bit worried about Puff. He is close to the fires i think. Hope he will be ok. Glad you are safe sweetheart. Take care 💕
  • PuffNoMore, Southern NSW January 04, 2020 | 16:26
Dont worry about me nuts. I have no doubt that fire wont burn my house. We did however take a big risk today by driving to the coast (100miles) to evacuate my young son-in-law from the impending fire-front. He'll stay here with us until we get some rain and the threat is over.
These fires are disrupting things with utilities like electricity, telecommunications, eftpos, road closures, fuel & food supplies, ETC, We'll manage.
    Thank you
  • Nuts January 04, 2020 | 17:44
Glad you are ok Puff. Must have been a frightening drive to pickup your son-in-law. Take care 👍
  • Pisces24, Central Coast January 06, 2020 | 8:02
    Take care Puff.🙋‍♀️🐟
  • PuffNoMore, Southern NSW January 06, 2020 | 19:26
All pretty good now my friends.
Thank you for praying and caring.
    We got rain!!
  • Nuts January 06, 2020 | 19:57
Yay. Thats great news Puff 🤗
  • PuffNoMore, Southern NSW January 06, 2020 | 20:23
Yes we got out of this ok.
Other close neighbouring smaller towns and villages had some houses lost and can flair up again when it dries out by weeks end, they warn us to remain vigilant.
I know you live in an extremely small community and pray that you remain safe
Take care when it gets hot again Nuts x
  • Nuts January 06, 2020 | 22:55
