    Please don't do that.
Try everything and anything you can to quit.
    You can do it.

I am sorry to hear that Myf. Before you throw in the towel i assume you did your homework as suggested. Did you get anything out of Allen Carr's book? What part of it had the most impact? What do you think holds you back? You started back smoking days ago, did you follow my suggestions in my post "If You've Given' Up Givin" Up. Try This"? So many ideas to try at your own pace while you cut down naturally. It is not a race you know. Learn and understand the relationship between you and nicotine. Learn to despise cigarettes and yearn to be free rather than having a smoke. Once you do that you will not crave as you will not desire that which you do not desire.

Have you been reading the posts here everyday? Did you act on our concerns and stop taking multiple sources of nicotine? We can only guide you, but ultimately the onus is on you to follow through. No NRT in the world can do the quit for you. It is a temporary aid to help make things more comfortable while you learn.

I would rather you take six months as my plan is flexible, to cut down and accept a journey that you are not prepared for at this time. No one can make you want to quit, but you can learn if you want that for yourself. You are worth it. We are here. It is your decision.

I am curious as to what you thought of my plan and if any part of it helped you in any way.

Every time you attempt to quit you increase your chances of quitting. I know you are strong enough to try again otherwise you wouldn't have bothered commenting here. Need help? There are lots of different ways to quit. You can definitely do it.

You can go the vape route myf, it would be better for your health than smoking and save you a few dollars. What it won't do is free you from nicotine and its relentless need for another fix to fix itself. If you would rather believe them than to try and learn to want to quit, that is up to you. As smokers are forced to quit because of increasing prices, do you not think that the government won't take their cut of vaping profits? What will that source of nicotine cost in the future. Will your body every recover from damages done. What about possible side-effects after years of study? I have never ruled vaping out if used as a stepping down tool. Can you trust yourself with something that supplies so much nicotine at once? Think very carefully Myf.

Happiness, what is your problem? Firstly, this person needs support. Not your anti vape speech. Secondary, if you don't understand a subject don't talk about it. Nicotine levels in eliquid are completely managed by the user with their own prescription nicotine.

You have no idea Rikki because you don't care about people. You don't care that i care. You only think you know about kicking smoking when you really don't know the half of it. If you want to be a slave to nicotine then that is your choice. Perhaps you people don't get the fact that people come here to beat the nicotine addiction and regain their freedom. That requires a lot more effort to do than simply switch to a different method of taking nicotine. If you don't think you are worth the effort to change your life and do better than is your prerogative.

Myf know that I and everyone here when she needed our help was there to help. We will be here when she is ready to kick the nicotine addiction. We cannot make someone quit who desires to smoke more than to learn how to even learn how to quit. A horse of course..... still can't make him drink.

If you read, i gave Myf facts and advice. Who is it that has a problem? What help or reassurance have you given? Switch over to your form of addiction, to your same old habit of smoking, but not smoking? You probably don't even know what i am talking about. You probably think i am mad , as in crazy. It is you and your group of vapers who i respected until now, who don't know anything about really quitting an addiction. Personally , I find them weak without any drive , stamina or ambition to better themselves because it is simply too much work. I know, was one of them. I never believed that i could quit smoking until i found a quit group and understood it was possible. I find it laughable that you think you are helping others by advocating your way with no understanding of ours. All you do is undermine those who have come to finally come to believe in themselves. Waving a carrot to have them step in the wrong direction is really of no real help.

I hope that all you members who have started your journeys with us lately trust us to guide you. It is worth the effort to be totally free. You can do it!

I think you have made yourself very clear. You would rather someone continue to smoke and kill themselves than use a vapouriser and wean themselves off of nicotine IN THE MOST EFFECTIVE WAY known based on recent studies. Your hatred is not helping people. And for your information I don't use nicotine, so I'm not sure why the septic attitude. I'm actually completely overwhelmed that you have such hatred for an effective quit smoking method that extends people's life and is the most successful. Your puritan ways are out dated and ineffective and trying to force people to quit cold turkey that can't is pointless if they continue to kill themselves with tobacco. I've actually read you suggesting this which is very concerning. You would not have the same opinion of someone using nicotine patches or sprays, so why the verile hatred? No one mention vapourisers until you did in this thread, they only shared their quit smoking stories and you attacked them with your puritan zealot attitude. It disgusts me.

I am sorry you joined in at an inopportune time last night Myf. People like you who just cannot grasp the mindset have a difficult time of quitting smoking . Nicotine companies now, as well as tobacco companies prey on your vulnerabilities.

It will be inferred that i have given up on you. Trust me I have not. But I know that if you start vaping you will no longer work to be free of the nicotine addiction. It will serve its purpose of quitting smoking. Perhaps i could feel good about advising you and others who see it as a last resort.
I am still not convinced that you did everything in your power to quit. If you had you would have commented on my story i advised you to read. Having implemented some of the ideas i should think you would have posted your findings. My quit plan while you smoke is for 6 months.

You craved our attention and support and then dropped from sight. We cannot do the quit for you myf, only try to steer you in the right direction.

The vapers are right about one thing. Smoking is bad for you . Smoking may even kill you.

I hope you will stay in touch and still yearn to be free of all nicotine and different ways of getting your fix and its control. We can help you if you choose to help yourself. Please remember , we haven't given up on you, you have given up on yourself.
All the best to you in your quest to be smoke-free.

Go to the page, scroll down where you will be given the 10 steps

I have researched for a while on e-cigs and vaping. One holds e-liquid in a tank, and the other a cartridge. I gather than only nicotine free juices are available in Australia and that doctors are hesitant to give a prescription for vaping juices with nicotine.
In further research, the nicotine doses are probably stronger than what you are accustomed. One research in just june of this years shows that diacetyl the cause of popcorn lung is still in many of the flavours manufactured.
Further research also seems to indicate that quitting vaping may be harder than cigarettes. (Which makes sense as it is the last stop) Too early to know but what if it turns out to be more dangerous than smoking? We smoked for decades and most of us survived pretty well given the circumstances, yet in just a few years popcorn lung is evident. Maybe when more is known and the verdict is in, those vaping will turn to smoking cigarettes in an attempt to escape.

I am sure these vapers come in hopes of gaining more support for their cause. I believe they came hoping to do good. It is an alternative to smoking, and if they use it to their advantage it may be used as a NRT to rid of nicotine. However, without the determination to do that most people

We hope to have members here see smoking in a different light and to see how nicotine ruled our lives. With eyes and mind open, we can change our habits and want more for ourselves in the future.

We can quit the smoking habit and kick the nicotine addition if our desire to achieve it is stronger than our desire to smoke. It is never too late to learn and apply it.

The third paragraph from the bottom was incomplete. The thought was that if people just trade one bad habit for an unknown but possibly bad or worse than cigarettes substitute all the while saving money, what incentive is there to work for freedom They will just be relieved that they don't have to have cravings and forget that they are slaves. They will forget that there is still risk and bury their head in the sand again.

Thankyou so much for your kind words. Because of you I have got myself some NRT and am cutting back on the smokes, again.

Hi Myf. Merry Christmas. I hope you have been following our stories. Please read the one titled Cold Chicken by Pisces. As a new member like yourself, she came in doubt of her ability to quit, but she read our stories, and came to believe that she too could quit smoking. That is how I came to quit....when I believed.
Follow her story, and what unfolded. It is truly amazing. Cravings are but thoughts, and we expect to have now seems that if we believe we accept the journey, stepping off of nicotine is without cravings!

    Please, read, learn, believe.
    You can do this too....
