Multiple fails

Hi Guys, I've tried multiple times to quit. The issue is that I'm not the only one smoking at home. My wife does smoke too. I found out that the fact she doesn't really make the effort to stop gave me excuses to keep smoking especially when I come back from work. Maybe I will find the strenght to stop and show her the example...

Hello,
I don't know if this helps but all of my friends smoke and at the end of the day if i can do it they might find it in them selves to quit. I think if you continue to make the effort your wife might do the same! if not at least your making the change. All my friends are laughing at me and don't believe that i can do it but that s making me want to do it even more.

I still smoked for two years after my husband quit. Everyone needs to go at their own pace, and stop when they're ready. If you feel ready, then just do it. Hopefully you will inspire her to quit as well. If you have kids they will be so proud of you....you can do it!
Hi Freddybear,
I am only 13 days into my journey as a non-smoker, my husband is also a heavy smoker (Camel),I used his smoking as a way of avoiding giving up until I realised that I wanted to do this just for me and for my own health (and to be healthy for my future grandchildren!) After 35 years of smoking, I am tackling this one day at a time. I wish you the best of luck with your decision, you can do it, just for you!

Thank you all for your good advices.
This is it, I've stopped this weekend, this time I bought some nicorette gums to reduce my addiction, I've never tried before.
You guys are right I should focus on stopping for myself and she will hopefully quit smoking too. Day 2 so far so good.
