Stay strong and stubborn

Posted in Staying quit 15 Aug 2019

So today is day 20. The night before last was very hard for me, I had an argument with my daughter which I was very angry at. All I wanted to do was go out and smoke those cigarettes but I realised what I wanted to do so I took a deep breath held it then blew it out. Thank goodness my mouth was full of hot air lol so then I went and cooled off for a while. I did not give in. I was quite proud of myself but the next day all I could think of was I would love a smoke. So long story short I’m still smoke free. You know I walk past people who I see smoking and I think to myself hey mate that smokes going to kill you eventually. I’m glad I’m not smoking now and I will get through this. Hope everyone is doing ok. ❤️💋❤️

So good Cathrine Anne, you did really well after an emotional upset as Happiness said it wouldnt have resolved a thing so why do it. Congrats on 20 days.

Thanks happiness for your support. I think the support we get from this forum is fabulous. It’s nice to just sit and read that we all go through the same stuff basically. It’s certainly is encouraging. ❤️💋❤️

Save your breath and stay off the smokes.
Until they come seeking a way to quit they will not, any more than we did for decades. Hopefully with not being "glamorized" any more but rather viewed more as anti-social it won't take them that long to realize everyone else is quitting.......
Wonderful to hear that you are doing so well Catherine anne and so proud of you for overcoming the urge despite the anger and turmoil. Lighting up would not have solved a thing, and would be a very short lived satisfaction. Take pride in your strength and resolve to stay free.
