Sound advice given to you 1buddha it is difficult to have to overcome two things at the same time, both are emotionally charged.

Perhaps you need to try meditation as I can see by your name you might have thought of this, and you have to persevere with both.

We humans are really quite resilient more than we give ourselves credit for. The only way is up give yourself this chance. Better health better finances and better strength of mind--- keep on quitting.

I am sorry to hear of your marital problem 1buddha . Just like there is life after divorce, there is life after quitting smoking. Look at it all as an opportunity to reinvent yourself and to be the best that you can be. Find new interests and hobbies to keep yourself occupied, and exercise to be healthy and fitness. Envision what you want your new life to look like and make those positive changes than are possible.

Quitting smokes naturally leads to better health and wealth. It also leads most of us i have found, to eat better and exercise more with our better breathing and new found energy. I am still waiting for that motivation to exercise, but even still the clearer, healthier skin, deep breathing ability, returned sense of smell and taste are great. Also the fact that I smell better too and no longer have those nicotine stains on fingers and teeth. My home and car look better too!

Sit down and write down what makes you happy. How can you achieve these? Can you make this possible with the money saved from smoking? Set realistic goals for short term and long term. Just like the rewards that we give ourselves throughout the journey . Each milestone gives us stronger belief in ourselves. If we stumble we learn and move on. Eventually anyone can find their path and way to a better life.

First you need to want it. Believe you can and you will. Now Envision it and start to make it happen!

Hi 1buddha1. Sometimes not smoking means you can afford the break from a doomed marriage. Not a pleasant situation, but it happens to many. All that money saved can be used more profitably, as opposed to losing on both fronts. Cut the losses and count the dollars. Good luck and persevere with both.
