Stress Ball Satisfaction

I would have to say that one of the things that has helped me to quit for the 9 days that I have are the 2 stress balls that I bought to occupy my hands.  One is a stegosaurus dinosaur and when I squeeze it, green bubbles ooze out the sides.  I have another one that is pink, and it has tiny gel like beads that ooze out when squeezed.  I've been told by others who squeezed the dinosaur one that it feels satisfying.  When I feel anxious, irritable, or have a craving, oftentimes, I grab one of my stress balls.  Honestly, I find it helps even more than nicotine gum sometimes.  And, there are many types of stress balls out there to buy, so it was easy to find 2 I liked.  Plus, they're just plain fun!

I sense that you have this situation well in hand, no pun intended...good for you. Taking things in stride and in perspective do help. We can beat the nicotine addiction fairly easily. The habit can also be dealt with with proper techniques and mindset.

Stomp out this nasty habit and enjoy the freedom you will experience very soon.

Go Liz :) 9 days is GREAT. If you can beat a week, you can do this..
I love it :) The stress ball, is right now, much like a puff on a smoke, it hits the brain in seconds. It takes much longer for the nicotine in gum, to reach the brain, so it is mostly just chewing the gum, that helps anyway.. Celery is great, if you like it.. It gives you something to hold, and munch on, but burns more calories to digest, than you get from it, so no weight gain.. Win Win :)
