    Good for you JP75. I really think that cold -turkey based on information and a plan and a great forum like this is a great choice. Rip the bandaid off quick. You are lucky to have your girlfriend who has gone through it and help you too as well. Stay busy, stay positive and stay smoke-free. Even better is adopting the positive attitude and starting this journey with the goal of becoming a happy non-smoker.

    I am also a firm believer in cold turkey. It's the fastest, and statistically, the most successful method. Successful meaning not going back, period. Just make a smoke something you don't want, not something you can't have, and half the battle is won :)
