Never stop quitting

I have been smoking on and off for 15 years. I am almost 32. Some days I have 2 cigarettes, other days can smoke over a pack (I drink too much too - major trigger).

I stopped my entire pregnancy but they've crept back in. Firstly when drinking, now it's everyday. I haven't put in a proper quit attempt but I'm now undertaking part of a university study on two quit smoking aids and I am on day 2 of champix, with a quit date of 13th March. I'm feeling pretty good about it, although I have already had the crazy dreams and that was from just one pill! I have a 2-year-old, I love running and fitness, I have plenty of reasons to quit. I'm determined this will be the last go. Wish me luck!

Great that your beginning this way with prepping yourself with this site to. I've decided again to quit, a road that many take, but at 64 it is way past time to ensure a better life for my body and mind. Lots of information here and so much on the net, here's another site where you can find so much health info along with personal stories and conversations that may assist you.

this is backed by a very trustworthy medical community in the US.
Your fortunate that you have several past times to distract you, running and your 2 year old, which you will enjoy a much better life with you, as you become a non smoker.

    Hi Cocoruns,
You can do this for your small child and yourself. #how your child that there is no place in our lives for any destructive addictions. Your last words were “ wish me luck”....I would if luck had anything to do with it....but it doesn’t. This is your journey and only positive and focused mental mind set can make it happen. If you want to quit more than you want to smoke....you will do this.......hate the smokes for all that they have cost you over the years, once you hate them you will never want them in your life again. I smoked for 48 Years and I now have been quit for 10 months.....I am still amazed that I was so stupid for so long..lol
