John 100

Starting Day 11

Posted in Quit experiences 12 Oct 2018

Just some observations I how things have been recently. Day 9 was hard, especially in the evening as I was around some smokers and I could have killed for a cigarette. Strangely next day I hardly had any cravings at all and only used Nicorette spray three times all day. See how today goes, day 9 was a warning of how easy you could give in to smoking again and to remain committed to giving up the addiction.

Yes John, we are no different to any other Addict, we always have to be on our guard. But the longer we are off the nicotine, the more we think like a non smoker and can resist any urge that might appear. Another week for you and you will be through the worst part....this journey is worth it. I had smoked for 48 years...I have been quit for 5months....I do not miss them or think about smoking anymore. Pretty amazing really. Stay strong and focused.

Thanks for the support, it helps. Only an ex smoker can truly appreciate the challenges and benefits of quitting the addiction to cigarettes.
