Day 37 now, it's such a relief to wake up after a few beers the night before and not feel that hangover. Always thinking it was the alcohol when mostly it was the cigarettes. Even beer taste better after quitting smoking. Each day the cravings become less but the first week was hard. Now. I don't even think about it at all. My energy levels are up. I'm cooking. Cleaning and washing. Even started walking to work. But I must admit. I'm always eating. But hey. A little bit of extra weight is much better then stained teeth and lungs. 23+ years of smoking. It's the best thing I have ever done. To be honest. I pity you if you ever smoked again after a week off. I pity smokers. They're no difference to junkies that need that drug just to relieve whatever craving. That's all it is. You're a nicotine junkie.
