Hi all,

I have been going well except my partner keeping leaving his cigarettes around and I have had a few here and there but not bought any atleast.

A friend came over on the weekend and I had several over the night ..probably about 5. And boy, did I feel it the next day.

I just cave in when other's are smoking. So my goal is to just be able to not cave in if smokes and smokers are around. I am amazed I haven't bought any.

My breathing and fitness has improved dramatically. I don't get sore legs going up stairs, I am not out of breath and my skin looks alot better. I am 50 now and the wrinkles are appearing all the time.

I was shocked today when I logged in to see I have saved over $400. Jeez. I would have done better if my partner had been able to be supportive about this but at the end of the day, I have to not cave in.

Or is he just being a dog about it?

Good for you Liz. My partner was still smoking when I gave up but I thought it would be a 'cop out' to blame him if I caved in and had a smoke. I believe you have to do it for yourself. There will always be obstacles you have to over come. I am now 4 months without a smoke and my health has improved immensely! Some days I feel there is little improvement and other days I feel there is heaps of improvement! The money saved is definitely a bonus and you should go out and treat yourself! $400 can buy a fair bit! Go on you deserve it!
