I started smoking when I was 16yrs old. I am now 50 & I am starting to realise that the older I'm getting, the more at risk I am of horrid illnesses. To say that I've come this far without any overall health problems is possibly nothing but sheer luck! I am deciding to quit these wicked cigarettes that have held such a strong grasp on me for the last 34yrs. My quit date is the 19.2.18 as I do admit that I have a few to go & I'm done. For me it's also about the money as I have temporarily been out of work & they are no longer affordable.(possibly a blessing in disguise). What also encouraged my decision was I sat down with my calculator & calculated how much I will save by not smoking & it was very encouraging. I wish everybody on this site the best of luck in defeating this filthy habit as it CAN be done.
