I quit smoking on 10 September 2017 and today is Day 20 for me. I have smoked for 30 years and never in my life did I think I could get through 2 days, let alone 20. Some days are easy and some days are challenging, but the challenging days are getting less and less. One thing I have found unbelievably helpful is joining this site and getting supportive comments from you guys.
Just reading everyone's experiences made me feel so encouraged. I particularly like the comment about getting it in my head that a cigarette is something that I hate, not something that I like or crave. I can't remember who said this, but the comment was made several times and it has now actually stuck in my head.
I cannot wait for Day 30 and I know I can do it. Thanks everyone for sharing your stories and experiences.
