Yesterday, 10 September 2017, was the first day of not smoking for me, after many years of smoking, loving it, hating it, making excuses for it and thinking that it was my friend. I was not a heavy smoker, but a regular smoker in the evenings and no matter how many you smoke, a habit is a habit.
A very good friend of mine recently quit smoking after a health scare. He was a very heavy smoker for over 30 years and he is now 2 weeks smoke free. If he can do it why can't I?
I'm feeling really positive right now but also absolutely terrified of failing because I know there will be challenges ahead. Wish me luck!
