Well I'm well in to day 400 today and still surviving fine. I have to admit there have been a few cravings since passing the 1 year mark but not overwhelming like in the first 5 months. In fact I am going through one now but I know it's manageable and am writing off the thought as a type.
I know my brother blew it at around this time and since I will be heading overseas next week and visiting countries where smoking is far more acceptable, I'll have to keep a stronger than usual self discipline particularly when having a few nice beers.
It's been great reading all the other postings from those still succeeding on their journeys. A few appear to have dropped by the wayside... I hope that's just because they are still successful and no longer feel a need to share their progress. For me... well, I smoked 30 a day (sometimes more) for 37 years so the habit was pretty well ingrained into my mind.
Knowing that I felt a need..., still even at this stage to pop in and write a few words about how I was feeling shows that this great little forum still provides support whether you think you need it or not. I guess we will always have to be on guard.
