Surely "Just one" wouldn't matter

Posted in Quit experiences 30 Mar 2012

Ive been down this path before and stopped for nearly ten years, that's when I reasoned surely "Just one" wouldn't matter. Well I had that just one which became the catalyst for me ending up a 40+ a day smoker more than doubling the previous 10 - 15 per day. I now know that there is no just one, and as much as I think I could become a social smoker I realise that there is no such thing.

Thanks for posting this today. It might have saved me from slipping up after 74 days without a smoke. For some reason today the voice in my head was telling me I could just have one. Of course, I know I couldn't.

OMG! if you only knew how many times I said that to myself today "Just one". Day 68 for me today & for some reason it feels like day 3.
