Fluid retention

So now I'm 3 weeks into the non-smoking business and its still going pretty tough and still not having fun yet. I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but as well as all the other side effects like cravings and sleeping the day away, I've developed pretty severe fluid retention. Feet ankles legs all swollen and puffy, sometimes trouble breathing and thinking I might have to see my local quack and get some diuretics onto the job.

I have run the gambit on quit smoking problems but fluid retention is not one that I'm familiar with. EVen if I were familiar with it, I'd still say go to the doctor because fluid retention is very bad for your heart. Whatever you do, don't start smoking again. If you are already having fluid retention, you don't need to put your heart under any additional stress. Best wishes to you!
