    Hey Dobbin,

I am 305 days nicotene free. I did notice before New Year that I craved for a cigarette but thats only because my cousin smokes a lot and when I was around him and stressed out from things in life, it only seemed natural to want to collapse into a cigarette hole. I reminded myself of what I learned here that "I am only one cigarette away from being addicted again" and I really don't want to go down there again. I'm not sure if I could come back again if I went down there for another time. I think that my fear is a healthy fear and I should respect the fact that nicotene is a terribly wicked drug and is just waiting round the corner to whack me again, so I should not let it!! No! Stay away nicodemon! Nicodemon is a two faced back stabbing friend ready to trash me when he is done with me.

Today was fine because my cousin has not been around and I did not even think about smoking at all and probably won't for a long time but when I do, I want to remember what I have learned here! This website is invaluable!

If anyone here is new, just stay away from any form of nicotene (even if it hurts) and keep coming here, vent your feelings and opinions but don't pick up a cigarette and don't fool yourself with other forms of nicotene. After a while, you will start to feel proud of the days, weeks, months.. wow! I am 10 months nicotene free!

Dobbin, congratulations and Happy New Year! Isn't it nice to not have to make quitting smoking your New Year's resolution because you've already quit?!

I once lasted over 2 years and fell back into the nicotine habit. 1 cigarette is 1 too many
