77 days and a 'first'.....

Posted in Quit experiences 08 Nov 2016

Today is Day 77. Eleven weeks. Tomorrow, we vote for president in the United States. There is no great candidate and our country is in huge trouble. I have my preference and I have voted early. The rest is in the hands of my fellow countrymen. I work the elections as an election judge. Last election, I probably smoked half a pack during the 15 hour work day. Tomorrow, I will not be smoking at all. This will most certainly be a test for me. If you believe in prayer, please prat for me and for my country. People look at the United States and think that we are big and bad and don't need help or prayer. We need more help and prayer than you would ever know.

Hi Wendy, you are doing very well. Chew some candy while you are working on election day. Concentrate on your work and do not think about the dreaded smokes. You will find as i have that if you keep on resisting the urges they tend not to bother you very much. As far as the election in USA is concerned ....well it is "que sera". Look after yourself. Good Luck.

Hi Wendy, your posts are so honest and full of feelings. I know you can make it through election day. Promise yourself a really great treat when its all over. The UK is praying you make the right decision over there in the states. We have a tradition over here celebrated on November 5th called Guy Fawkes night, where we celebrate with fireworks and bonfires and burning effigies. I am afraid your gentleman candidate went up in smoke in a lot of English towns. Come to think of it we have all been wasting time money and our health with smoking. 77 days is a milestone. Keep going and congrats.

Hahahaha, Debbie! Remember Remember the fifth of November! The ironic part of people burning Trump in effigy on Guy Fawkes Day is that Fawkes would have liked him. He's a rebellious revolutionary.
