Why can't I just STOP because I want to? Trying again today, but wanting to run to the shop and 'reward' myself. Just writing this reminds me that smoking is not a reward. Have Alan Carrs audio book - start again. The only problem with listening to an audio book, is that when you hear something that you want to save, you might not be in a position to do that (eg driving)
That's a relief. It wasn't that bad. I feel that it is best not to dwell on it, just move on and do something else. I haven't suffered that much, just poor sleep (but do you need as much sleep if your body doesn't need to recover as much after a days smoking?), and slower metabolism.
It's easier to get through the day if you are working full time (I haven't smoked at work for years, being too as...
I am on day 2 again and feeling a bit antsy, like I want to go to the Deli and buy a couple of cigars like a usually do, as a "treat". A treat for what, you may ask, they are not a treat, they are killing you.

I have only twice thought that I should go and buy some cigs, but when I thought about it, I really didn't want to put the stinky stick in my mouth, light it, and suck the smoke down my throat and into my lungs - ouch...
Day 3 of not smoking, thanks to Alan Carr. I have the book on my phone and have been listening to it over and over until the message got through my thick head and to get over the fear of quitting.
I haven't finished listening to the book, and will probsbly keep it up for a few weeks to keep away the negative thoughts.
I feel free already - hasn't that addictive nicotine left my body already...
Managed to get through Day 1 again. Thanks Allan Carr - have downloaded his audio book. It's great to change your mindset from fear of quitting to wanting to be free. So easy to listen to while doing other things, rather than reading a book.
I figured out the reason that I smoked is so that I can intensify the procrastination that seems to rule my life. You don't have to focus on a task, but can just go outside and smoke instead. I really hate the hold it has had over me, but didn't quit due to the FEAR of quitting.
So glad to be leaving this disgusting habit behind. I have a few tools this time - meditation app should help if I ...
