Hi all, it has been a while since I posted, I have been in reading how well everyone is doing congratulations to you all. I have been smoke free for 50 days I am so proud of myself. I am still doing it one day at a time as I may always have to but the main thing is that I am still smoke free. Sleep still does not come easily, and I have put on a fair bit of weight but I am sure that in the future...

Congratulations to me, 42 days 6 weeks without a cigarette, I have totally amazed myself, I never would have thought I could do this. I still get the urge to smoke and sometimes reach for them without thinking, but I know I can never have one because I am sure I could not stop there. My friends that stopped smoking years ago tell me that they still get the urge to smoke sometimes but it goes as ...

Day 38 nearly over, it is strange how even after this amount of time the urge to smoke at certain times is really strong. I don't crave a cigarette it is just a memory, that after doing such and such you have a cigarette. Then you have find something else to do, it is getting better and I am getting stronger but I wonder if it is like when you go on a diet you are forever going to have to watch y...

Smoke free, day 30 nearly over, in two days time I am going to be 60 and smoke free 32 days I can't believe I am actually doing this, as much as I sometimes think I want a cigarette, I know that I actually don't so I just keep moving forward, this is the first time I think I have allowed myself to celebrate before I achieved something but I am confident that I can do it. Tomorrow I will have a ho...

Smoke free nearly finished day 24, can't believe how much money I have saved. I should be so happy with myself but with all the s*** that is happening around me just makes me feel low. However, I am stronger than I realized so will keep going one day at a time

Day 21 nearly over, thank god, what a horrible week. I'm so glad that this community is available to us all. I read today a post from IC, that reminded me that regardless of what is happening, a cigarette is not going to fix it. So again I have succeeded in another day smoke free. Thank you to everyone that posts, remember each time we post it helps us but it also has the ability to help someone ...

    day 15 not good emotionally

Posted in Quit experiences 29 Mar 2016

Nearly through day 15, smoke free. Today has been difficult, but I am starting to believe that the feelings I have now are not so much a craving but more looking for the comfort of an old friend. I know we are all different but my husband smokes, and we have always smoked inside, and he does still, but being around smoke doesn't seem to bother me. I can only image that my head was in the ri...
