Well I haven't logged on for a fair while so it was a nice surprise to see I have been quit for 200 days today. I was at my Mums today and she was smoking while we had a cuppa. Even now I had the sudden urge for a ciggy but I dismissed the thought straight away. I had to remind myself, yet again, why I gave up in the first place and how good I feel now I have been off the smokes for this lon...

Hi 5foot giant I saw your post about the difficulty you are having with Champix. If they are affecting you to the point where you feel you can't cope perhaps you shouldn't continue to take them, at least until you talk to your doctor. i know from my experience with champix just how powerful the side effects can be. i took them for 9 weeks as I couldn't cope with the full 12 weeks. thankfully I am...

Hi everyone. I haven't checked in for a while now and today is my 68th day smoke free. About a week ago I decided to end my relationship with Champix after 9 weeks of taking it morning and night. No more sleepless nights, no more sickly feelings and no more tiredness. Champix you did your job well blocking those nicotine receptors day in and day out for nine weeks. Thankyou for making the process...

Hi everyone. Hope everyone here had a great Xmas New Year. Slow start to the day for me today. Stayed up late, drank way too much but had a really fun New Years Eve. I'm pleased to say the hangover could have been a lot worse if I was still a smoker! 7 weeks smoke free today and looking forward to a healthy 2014. All the best for the coming year to each and everyone here. Keep up the good work! L...

    33 days today!

When I decided to go to the doctors last month and ask for Champix I could only imagine what it would be like to be smoke free for Xmas. Now it is going to be a reality! 33 days goes so quickly and I am amazed at how much better I feel in such a short period of time without the cigarettes. With the money I have saved I bought myself a push bike, then decided to buy another, complete with child se...

    Stay Strong

Hi. I haven't smoked since day 10 on the Champix and just can't believe how quickly the time has gone. I set my quit date for Day 11 and gave up at Day 10! On Day 8 I was still smoking 10 a day (used to smoke between 10 and 15 a day) and was thinking the Champix weren't working. Then along came Day 9. All of a sudden the smokes tasted filthy - 3 cigarettes all half smoked. Day 10 on the Champix w...
