Hi everyone. Its been 2 years since i lit up a cigarette. The time has gone by so fast, even though my first day of quitting seem to go on for years. Quitting was one of the best decisions of my life, and although it was a bit hard at times, and i did'nt know what to expect, i was determined to quit. I think that determination plays a very big part in quitting. I have also saved a lot of money. T...
Merry Christmas everyone. Have a safe and happy and smoke free holiday season. Hoping 2021 will be a better year for all
$9,999 not spent on cigarettes. Lol. Isnt it fabulous to be able to say that. We all wasted so much money. Add that to your list of positive reasons to quit. Stay strong everyone. Its so worth it
While i was out today, a young lady backed her car into mine. When i was a smoker, i would have reached for my smokes and puffed away frantically, believing that it was helping a stressful situation. Today, the thought of a smoke didnt even cross my mind. You dont need to smoke when things go wrong. Another reason to keep smoking, down the drain.
Today is 1 year smoke free. Wow, I cant believe i did it. A year ago, i was determined but scared at the same time. It was hard at times, but i didnt give in, and i am so happy to be smoke free. Stay strong everyone. You wont be sorry 🤗🏁🏁🏁🤗

When i was young, everyone smoked. It was the cool thing to do. These day to our young people, vaping is the cool thing to do. When you think about it, a lot of the things that we did, our kids are doing in a different way. We smoked. They Vape. We smoked a pipe. They smoke E cigs. We chewed tobacco. They chew nicotine gum. The same but different. However, There is one big difference. We didnt kn...
In the last few days, there has been a lot of nastiness going on between some new and old members about different opinions about vaping, myself included. I think that enough has been said and i am asking everyone to please stop. This forum is not about fighting or nastiness. Its about support and friendship. Please everyone, We all want to quit smoking and we are all different. Its the end resul...
I live in a small town of only 29 people. Since i quit smoking , everyone in town have commented on how well i have done. With a bit of encouragement from me, 3 more people in town have quit. Now there are only two smokers left in our town. We are all hoping that they will quit, so our whole town will be smoke free. I hope that everyone will encourage a friend to quit and beat the cigarette.
I am watching the v8 supercar coverage at Bathurst and iCanQuit is advertised everywhere. They even have a helicopter cam. Thousands of people watch Bathurst, and if it helps people quit smoking, then i think that its great. Go Lowndesy 🏁
Since i quit smoking 5 months ago, i have had dreadful heartburn and a bitter taste in my mouth. Has anyone else had the the thing, and if so how long does it last for
I went shopping today, i bought a whole winter outfit for less than i spent on 1 weeks supply of of smokes. Cant believe how much money i wasted over the years of smoking.
I made it . 100 days. Yay. Thank you so much to every one who helped me on my quit journey. Your support and kind words really meant a lot. Thanks so much to Happiness, Broncor, and PuffNoMore. You have all been with me all of the way. I am now a non smoker. Nope.
Hi everyone. Day 51. Saved almost $2,000. Thats a lot of smoke. I am going to reward myself. I am buying a framed picture of Craig Lowndes and his V8 Supercar. Yay. Its great to be able to afford special things 😀🤠
Day 47. Really craving a smoke today. That nicotine monster is trying to get me. Some of you wonderful people on this forum said this would happen, so i was waiting for it. Get it over with and be proud i didnt give in, because i am not going to smoke ever again. It helps the nearest shop is over 100 klms away. Not worth the drive. It will not beat me. I will win. Take that Nicotine Monster. 😆🤠
Hi all. 44 days smoke free. Yay. Has anyone else gained weight. I have gone from 52 kls to 54. I am not eating more and i am exercising more. Getting belly fat. Read online it is normal and is my body recovering. Can take up to a year or more to get back to normal. Help. Dont want to get fat 😔😭
Hi every one. Its day 25 and no smokes. Day 5 with no patches. Getting off the patches was easier than i expected. Only a few minor cravings. Had a tic tac instead. Yay. Life is good 😃😀😊
Went out to the pub last night for a family get together. Was worrried how i would go because of smokers in family. It went well. Had lots of support from family and friends and those that did smoke smelt terrible. My advise at this stage is that you feel like a smoke, sniff a smoker. Yuk. LOL
Hi My nickname is Nuts because i was nuts to take up smoking. I have smoked for over 20 years and enjoyed it. But the time has come to quit. First i cut down to 5 a day , and then started using patches. Very determined. First day easy. Second day hard. Got a bit better after that. Today is day 7. Struggling a bit, but hanging in there. Have to keep busy. Hope tomorrow will be a bit better
