    Its been 228 days since my last cig. I cant believe I am on the other side. It is true all I read when I first started on here it is easier. I very rarely think of having a cig now and whe I do it is a fleeting moment and not a craving its more a habit of a situation , a learnt behaviour really over years being unlearned.     I have just returned to see how everyone is going and discovered I am 174 days off the smokes thats 8 days short of hlf a year WOW!!! I am on the other side of a tough journey , one in which I am determed never to repeat again.  To all those struggling please keep trying it is well worth the end result.     I havent been here for a little while, I am now 149 days NOT smoking and hardly think of it at all, sometime I do and yes I want one but I dont want one at the same time, the thought of lighting up now does turn me off.     For those that have been with me through this process I want to say a hardy Thankyou for getting me through. The op now 3days past ,am very sore and beaten up (face) they got the tumor,reconstructed parts and the surgeons(more then one) hands are golden. I wouldnt have gotten through this if I was smoking.     Well 75days and havent caved, its definitely been a journey. The journey still continues but am finding I dont need the cig as much as I did. Still being strong. Nearly weakened a while back so started back on the patches and declining them all again, but I didnt smoke. I am now waking up and NOT looking for a cig.     Just letting all know that I am making it through my struggle and to say thankyou for your support. Normally I would have caved under the stressfull days and with a positive mindset and a short bike ride I feel I may just conquer this struggle. Am determined that this is not going to defeat me.     Am struggling

    Am 56days in am getting a very foggy brain and it is a bit scarry nearly weakened so put a patch on instead. I dont know what is going on but it is harder then before. Is it my body going in for one last ditch effort to have a smoke? Havent weakened once and have made it through till now, I am feeling very suseptable atm. Am keeping busy etc. Need some reassurance that I am not going mad .

    Wish I could run away from these feelings

    Am 54 days in was on patches till I was sick and the patches kept falling off due to perspiraton so have been relying on my willpower for the last 4days. Have stayed strong there was a couple times where I could have caved but didnt. I have feelings sooo intense and haywire sometimes that it can be hard to control them .... wish I could run away from them but have just walked around and kept busy...
