I’m only a week into quitting after 24 years a smoker and the best advice I’ve had so far is from a former smoker: what are the benefits of smoking? I couldn’t answer it, there are no benefits. I also think about the suffering of cancer patients when the cravings are at their worst: do I want to suffer short term now for long term health or suffer long term then for long term illness?
