My 1st day without a cigarette and I had all the usual fears leading up to this. But I managed ok and haven't really missed it tonight. I'm not having any side effects from Champix so that is a plus....My first attempt was with the patches and I stopped for 3 months. Fingers crossed I can quit for good this time!
I stopped smoking in March this year only to crack 3 months later. I was using the patches and also reading Allan Carrs book. I am now wanting to quit again but don't know if I can do it without the patches. I'd be interested to hear of peoples' experience using Champix; I've heard about the nausea and bad dreams.
I'm on my last packet now and going to the Dr tomorrow to get some Champix. Experi...
I had given up for about 3 months using the patches. I was going so well.... now I am back smoking about 10-15 a day. I have started reading Allen Carrs' book again and I'm getting to the point that I want to stop again. No patches etc this time either. I am genuinely NOT enjoying smoking and have found my headaches are back. The minute I finish the book I will be having my last smoke and p...
I have been going really well until last week. I have had a stumble on my journey and have had about 30 smokes since last Friday. One of my daughters came to visit and she has taken up smoking again; she lit one up and I just had to have that one puff!!
I'm not blaming my daughter, I am angry and ashamed with myself!! I should have been stronger, but I only have 3 left and not enough money for a...
I'm guilty and ashamed of my weakness. 72 days smoke free and today I had about 6 puffs, which tasted horrible. Today is the 2nd anniversary of my daughters passing and up until today I have been strong. I guess I'm only human but I have to be stronger!
It's been a while since I last posted here. I'm 56 days smoke free and today started on the lowest dose of the patches. I have had the usual cravings, especially when I'm down in the dumps but so far have managed to ignore them. Have had a huge headache today but I don't know if it related to the reduction of the patch.
I have been keeping myself busy, busy, busy trying to help animal rescue gro...
I had a clean out of my wardrobe and sorted what to keep and what to give to the Salvos. I washed and ironed everything to get rid of the smoke smell and now I'm told that washing the clothes doesn't get rid of the smell.
Anyone have any input on this?
Last night and today I've had the strong urge to have a smoke and I don't know why. I got to the point where I wasn't even thinking about cigarrettes but last night I was so close to getting in the car and going to buy some. Today is not much better, especially when I'm stuffing myself with chocolate!!
I've been trying to keep myself busy but there is only so much I can do because of medical con...
It's been a few days since I have checked in. I'm now 29 days and still smoke free. I hope everyone on this journey is not doing it too tough!! Good luck to everyone!
For some reason this afternoon, my little dog chased my cat and I lost the plot. Pooe little buggar got an earful from me and if there had been any cigarettes aroiund I know I would have had one. Luckily I had no money either so I couldn't go and buy any!
I don't know what set it off but I just snapped and let lose for about 15 mins!! I am now sucking on an empty iinhaler lol and my dog still lo...
