So with Nicotine Patches you still have nicotine in your system after the 3 month course? I dont like that idea and struggling now with my commitment. Can't go back on Champix because Dr wont risk it with my depression. I feel like just trying to go cold turkey now. So confused.
Went 5 months ciggie free earlier in the year. With help of Champix. Trying again after a couple months back on....Dr won't give me Champix again because I got quite depressed so trying patches this time. I think the depression was like grieving over the ciggies, felt like giving up something pleasurable, but Dr wont risk Champix again. Quit day in 2 days time. Not feeling as confident as last ti...
Contemplating buying smokes tomorrow. This gets harder with time not easier. Day 36 and I am losing it. Not sure if because I cut down on the Champix, but if so how is it going to be when the champix is finished anyway? I keep trying to think about the money, all my money for this fortnight will be gone if I buy enough smokes to last. Nothing left for food. But I am miserable. and eating waaaaay ...
Well I am at day 30 and never thought I could actually do this! Champix has made all the difference for me , oh and I think just being ready. I do still constantly feel like something is missing though and wondering if others were bothered by that feeling and if it lasts a long time. It is the only thing still getting to me. Like I will be watching something on tv and realize I want a smoke and m...
Day 19 and finding it harder as time goes by. I thought it would be the opposite. Feeling sad.
I hate xmas so much but I love you guys and I am smoke free!!!!!!! :D Pretty drunk tho. mwaha
Bad day today. Cravings were stronger than usual and I ate food to compensate. Started eating good food, raw nibblies to take the edge off. But as the day progressed I just shovelled rubbish into my mouth. I don't want to do this. Exchange one bad habit for another. Just depressing. 6th day smoke free.
I am on a very fixed budget and so if don't buy my ciggies up front, have to go without. So the first couple of months quitting I am going to spend all my spare cash. To make sure I have no option in buying any. Once the cravings get a bit better I can calm down on the spending...but meanwhile treats! :) Getting hair done tomorrow. Anyone else use spending their money as a tactic?
So I am chewing gum all day because it is nearly the only thing getting me through a craving on day one of quitting. But oh my, the ache in the jaw I have now. LOL certainly not going to put on weight, i can hardly eat!
