Hello guys , This is my 3rd time of quitting , first was for 4 months and most recently for 5 days then a slip up … I hope this will be the final slip up I’ll have ….especially when I still deal with anxiety and stress as major triggers ….. 😪😪 but deep down I am really tired of smoking … I hope to stay quit even with all the withdrawal symptoms…
I had an argument with my husband, and was very stressed out. Drove to the shops to get a packet, I sat in the car and talked myself out of it. Drove home feeling very proud of myself after almost 3 weeks without smoking.
Yesterday was a nice round number of 1700 smoke free days. As the time marches on, smoking has become a distant memory but each day I am truly thankful for my freedom.
To those who are still struggling, my only advice is to keep practicing NOPE - Not One Puff Ever. It works and it's real.
Stay strong and you'll succeed.
It has been two years since i have quit smoking. First the good news. I no longer have to see an oncologist for all the nodules in my lungs as after 2 years my body has been able to remove all visible nodules. This is my 15th day smoke free. I’ve had a few health issues and just want to be healthy. First 3 days were depressing and weird cause I usually love my cigarette with my tea in the morning and after meals. But I stopped tea for a while so I won’t get tempted. Cold turkey is the way I’ve chosen to go. As each day passes it gets a little easier. It’s just getting out of that routine I was used to....
I’d stopped for 20 years then my daughter and son both were having health issues and my wife was stressed about her business so I started smoking again. I want to handle stress better.

I quite because like everyone else I knew it was slowly killing me. After two months, and really recognizing how winded I'd be after shot spurts of energy I just figured it will go away the longer I stay nicotine free. I went for a chest x-ray last week and today found out that I have COPD. I wasn't shocked to hear this. Upset, yes with myself, but I will do the do, and live as healthy and as ...
