I was like you - struggling with smoking. Even though I knew it was a harmful habit that was killing me little by little, I just couldn't quit.
Now, I didn't have any sort of spiritual revelation. I read the book Atomic Habits by James Clear and it helped me to understand how habits work, and so I started.
I began by filling my life with positive habits such as working out a little every day,...
This week I passed the 4 year mark and I'm so incredibly grateful everyday for the freedom I now enjoy from cigarettes, that once ruled nearly every aspect of my life.
This forum and Champix were my aids to succeed after many many failed attempts.
It was my calender anniversary of quitting reminder on my phone that popped up and prompted me to celebrate.... that's how nothing smoking...
1200 days and counting. Last week I had a cig in a dream. Woke up, no harm done - never forget to practice NOPE (Not one puff ever). So many benefits to being a non smoker but if you are on this site you know what I mean.
Good luck in your quest and cheers.

Well what do you know, just over 1 year ago I quit. It feels great. It was super hard but I'm so happy I stuck with it. I remember the first week or even month, it felt like years since I had a smoke, I missed it so badly. I'm guessing around the 7th month after quitting it started getting easier, I didn't think about it. I kind of forgot to think about smoking, funny. if I can do you all can do ...

Although I am still using the batches and gum, but I actually don't mind using it because it's much healthier than smoking.
Highly recommend anyone who find it hard to quit smoking to start with the patches, it simply helps.
I'll be six weeks quit on Sunday 1st June and it is literally a miracle to me that I can actually say that....On 10th May (exactly 3 weeks into my quit journey) my father-in-law passed away suddenly. It was such a huge shock and absolutely heartbreaking, we are a very close family so it hurt alot. The added stress of being responsible for funeral arrangements and everything else has ma...

Hi all, sorry i haven't dropped in for awhile, had 1 or 2 health scares
and under Drs. orders i had to shed some kilos. Being the impulsive type, I through myself at it and ended up with some more health issues. I forgot the old mantra K.I.S.S. I have been smoking for 20 years. Recently decided to quit because I want to live longer and see my new born daughter grow up. I have stopped smoking for almost seventh days now, being using the nicotine pad and mouth spray. It helps reducing the craving and the temptation of having a cigarette. Since yesterday I am starting to get muscle pain, constipation, etc. I search Google and found that al...

Am 12 days in and very Careful whom i am around. Have tried Many times Before. Cold turkey is the only way for me. I am just eating the pain, the same a boxer eats punches then goes onto win the fight . Practicing Prayer Meditation asking God to Shield me. I find that i can be a target for inconsiderate people when i give up. Maybe it's what i am attracting because i am running rough atm. Yeh, g...
It’s been 17 days since my last cigarette and I must say I am proud. 2 week mark was very important to me because everyone kept saying that it gets easier after 2 weeks. It really does. Last 3 days, I only had one craving and was very easy to tackle. (Lasted for about 1 min) I am trying to focus on the fact that my durability and stamina is getting soo much better during exercise. Breathing also ...

I tried countless times to quit before and had never achieved more than 3 days. I tried patches, gum, e cigs, everything there is basically.
