I simply want to quit so that I don’t encourage my son to take up this habit
Very recently I had a minor stroke and I attribute this to lifestyle factors like smoking. I am now a very committed quitter and I feel very proud of what I’ve achieved.
It’s been a very long road. The stroke was a final wake up call to kick the habit for the sake of my life and for the people who love me and care.
It’s so important to take ones health seriously.
I'm not sure what my future will hold but I'm hoping it's smoke free
Hi, I am on day 2 of being a non smoker. I smoked for 30 years. I watched my dad die from lung cancer and am now watching my mum gradually get worse with early emphysema from passive smoking. My family are struggling to make ends meet and smokes are taking a lot of our money. So for myself, my health, my family and our future I finally did it! Not wanting a smoke so far but feeling very lost and ...

This could sound a bit extreme but that is what smoking does. I have had a lightbulb moment. And that is enough for me to say no more and goodbye forever to this insidious habit.
Starting my quit date on April fools day. The ironic thing is, I am the fool for smoking. I became a single dad about 10 years ago, after my partner died, when my daughter was 6 years old. She is every reason I get up every morning. She has made me a much better man I am today. My final step is to quit smoking, if I don’t, I know I won’t see my daughter grow up, and it would absolutely be devasta...
Stopped smoking 5th September 2018 after being diagnosed with emphysema. What can I say, health improved regardless of my medical condition, don't smell of smoke anymore and the financial savings are enormous. My wife continued to smoke and has just recently quit, about 4 months now, so proud of her, going cold turkey like I did. Still love the smell but will never go back to it again, even afte...
