What I am finding helpful is using images (Internet) to reinforce the reasons I want to quit for instance I used an image of a man having a heart attack and a picture of a 70 year old man finishing a 10K marathon to illustrate my prime reason for quitting-Health, I keep these images in my Quit Smoking blog on my computer and refer to them when I am having a craving, this reinforces my resolve to...

So I’m 33 yrs old and I have decided today that i wanna stop smoking for good. I smoke a pack or 2 a day sometimes less. I’m desperate to know the quickest way to quit. I don’t feel healthy at all, my heart kinda aches sometimes (literally) and I’m also afraid of this Coronavirus pandemic being smokers are of high risk too. A lot people tell me to quit cold turkey but I am findin...
Being quit makes me feel like I can accomplish anything. It is a great feeling to be free; I was a cog in the machine. I feel like it is the things I should not do are the things I am looking out for. Tjere are more than cigarettes.
I am trying hard to cut back on caffeine and sugar. Soda. I could feel and look great at the end of this. I think it. I also should grow my hair out and just gener...
Have smoked for about 30years. Been contemplating quitting smoking for a while. Had a major health scare 2 weeks ago. Haven't smoked since using a patch every other day. Some days are harder than others. Feels strange but good being a non smoker. Not too many cravings but definitely eating more which scares me as I don't want to put on weight. Has anyone else had this issue and if so how di...

Since my last post, at my 6 week celebration, my first ever grandbaby has been born. 9 pound 3 ounce healthy baby boy.
His other grandma is a smoker. Glad I don't have to worry about my smell, or about my cleanliness, or about having to leave the premises and move away from him for whole minutes to answer the slavemaster's call.
Glad I will be around a whole lot longer to be a part of hi...

8 days now and feeling powerful. I was talking to a friend today (smoker) about my journey so far, and to my surprise he congratulated me on my decision, I didn't to preach to him but felt sorry for him, when he said he had tried before but now accepts that he will be a smoker until the end. How bloody sad! Just goes to show the slavery to nicotine has over those still smoking, and i am so glad t...

How is it that one packet of smokes is purchased almost daily?
I truly respect you guys who have given up, found the freedom and no longer want a single puff. But unfortunately, there would be a majority of smokers always having some excuse to continue to smoke.
How about hearing from those smokers that cant quite get there. Succ...

Hi All, we have just had another price rise in Australia...12.5%....wow.
We are paying the highest of any country in the world. Makes you wonder how anyone in Aus can afford to smoke, but people always seem to find the money to do so. Really sad that people will pay so much to destroy their health and self esteem.
Stay focused and strong......there is no good reason to keep smoking x

This is my first time on here and I’m so blown away by all your amazing success stories. To cut a long story short, I was diagnosed with a breast abscess, spent a week in hospital, two aspirations and septicaemia. I was advised to quit smoking as that increases my chance of it coming back. I’m not well at the moment a I just been discharged and still in somewhat pain. I want to quit...
