Been using nicotine patches and munching on gums from last week. Gradually decreasing the numbers of cigarettes each day has been really helpful for me to deal with withdrawal symptoms until yesterday. Gave a try to Nicorette quick mist, little harsh on throat but it worked well during strong urges and cravings.
Didn't smoke any today and will be doing same for tomorrow and coming days.
I'm back but confused. My last username was patches now I'm fluffy. Oh well, it is a clunky old website.
I quit nearly 6 months ago using Champix. They ripped it off the shelves mid course so I had to go it alone. Things got nasty a week off Champix but I persevered. I completed an accounting course while being thrown into the worst physical withdrawals ever that lasted well over a month. I'd s...
Just kinda wanted to share a tiny update. I switched to the 7 mg patch on Sunday. So far, the decrease in nicotine hasnt bothered me at all. I am able to take the patch off at 5:00 P.M. and I don't put another one on until 6:30 A.M. Miss it less and less. Doing well. Thanking God daily.
Champix. Nothing else works for me. Will power certainly didn't work for me. In my expereince and opinion champix will work when it works, no timeframe. Just keep taking until you notice yourself smoking less and less and the need for a cig has become weaker. Then test if how long you can go without. When it is forever you are there. Keep taking the course beyond the quit point. Lastly - NEVER be...
I have no idea how this website works or how to find my last post. Its all a little outdated, clunky and user unfriendly. I will just post this probably the last time as I cant navigate this dinosaur.
I quit in may only to have my champix ripped off the shelves mid course. My doc gave me antianxiety for tummy flutters. 7 days later i just went commando and punched the daylights out of...
Hi all this morning was my last day on Champix and now 105 days smoke free. Keen to hear how others felt when they finished the program, I had seriously disturbed dreams so am looking forward to peaceful nights, does anyone have any comments on any side effects of stopping immediately? Thanks everyone
I was a 30 year smoker smoking around 25-30 a day.Being now in my mid 40's,it was getting time to either quit or be buried by them.
I was not able to go cold turkey,i got very aggressive, irritable, bad shakes, headaches and other problems.
I got the Champix,on the 3rd week,i couldn't stand the smell or taste of a cigarette.
I smoked for the first 2 weeks, then by the 17th day,i was off the smokes...
Hi everyone. I'm back after my failed quit last year but this time, I'm 3 months off with Champix. My question to anyone who has experienced this is... Has anyone weened off Champix only to find the withdrawal has hit like I've never quit? I know this must be uncommon as I've read enough positive reviews from happy ex smokers. I'm thinking I may have to stick it for another 3 months but the bloa...
I really want to quit but can’t seem to do it without assistance -
I’ve just started champix and started with a sore neck/throat. Glands aren’t swollen but had been quite sore. Now soreness in the neck/throat is not so bad but have lost my voice?
Has anyone experienced this when taking champix? And does it go away? Thanks
Hi All, great to be here. I started about 12 & stopped after turning 50.
This is my 2 nd attempt, 1st one was using Champix & sent me round the looney bin ! (Or so I thought).
I saw a hypnotist this time & it has worked for me, but same thing has happened, stopping smoking has sent me round the bend again, depressed, anxiety, so so tired all the time, my GP has me now (last 40 days) taking Zo...
