I have a very hectic life very stressful which I would always head straight for a smoke and I don’t want to replace smokes with food.
I’m just wondering how people work through basically life’s challenges how they have worked through it especially in the first couple of days. Please I would love to hear from your experiences
Day 1 and I can’t hold a thought for more than a few seconds, except the thought that I’d like a smoke! I remember when my dad quit years ago. He’d stare out the window with a glass of juice in his hand instead of a cig. I’m replacing each cig with a glass of water, focusing on how clean and refreshing it feels going down.
Giving up this Monday for good. Want to be here for my kids weddings
I'm on day 6 of my journey and am finding that I am constantly hungry. When I feel start to feel hungry I drink water, my water intake had tripled, but I'm not thirsty, I'm starving. Does this stop? I'm trying to eat fruit and other healthy stuff but the volume will catch up very soon. Advice please.
I came across an article that was geared towards quitting addictions in general and nutrition. I believe nutrition was a helpful tool I used in my early days of quitting. Not only did it help physically, but it was a commitment to a "lifestyle" change that supported my endeavour of escaping smoking for good. Here's the article:

Ive been a smoke for 4 years now and i smoke upto 20+ smokes a day. I quit for 2 months in 2016 but started again at the start of last year due to stress from the violent relationship that i was in. I have been trying to quit smoking for a good 6 months and i have tried champix and if worked for a while but it had started making me feel sick. i want to quit to get active and live a healthier life...
after a meal i am struggling with the most i am 2 days with no smokes and almost gave in and went and brought some smokes but my will power and self talk talked me out of it i was just wondering if anyone has any ideas on after meals what they do to stop the craving
I was adviced to snack on carrots and celery. However i am not a fan of these raw.
I have discovered raw capsicum.

Hi I quit also, using champix.
Few headaches to start with but no problems now as long as I eat before I take the pill.
I was not a long long term smoker, I smoked for nearly 2 years.
Still been hard.
Apart from using champix I just cut down from 8 to 3 then to 2 then none.
Also I gym everyday which helps with stress and I also ride my bike.
