I havent played in one whole year see I got sick my chest became tight, I suffer from asthma and it was playing up it was too uncomfortable for my body I struggled to breath in and out. So I sat at home and smoked. I miised playing the game, I've played since I was 12, I represented my town and state. I played 3 games a week until...
Living healthy, what is that? now i know i get it, i understand it, i appreciate it, i need it, i want it, i have it!! I have started doing breathing exercises whenever i think of it. It opens up my lungs and chest makes me feel like i can run a million miles. I do them while im sitting at my desk at work, i lie down in my office and stretch out and breath (my co workers think im crazy) i do them...
I think political parties should openly let people know about their funding from cigarette companies and what are the plans to stop people smoking... Isnt public health and the money saved on medicare a political/budget issue these days?
Also wondering if Tony Abbott is going to continue the Anti-Smoking campaigns/programs of Labor???
This is it!!
Well I have been a non smoker for 5 days now and I am feeling pretty confident this time.
I have tried to give up about 10 times seriously and 100 times half hearted. I know this time is it as I am now incorporating exercise. Something I have never done before!! I actually think I will lose weight instead of putting it on.
My mindset is a lot differ...
So one of the reasons I quit was because I wanted to get active and get fit again. So today I went for a run - haven't done anything like that since I don't know when - the nearest I have got is running a bath haha! So off I went to to Sydney Park this morning and managed just over 3kms without having a heart attack or requiring oxygen at the end! Not a massive achievement but an ...

It's been a while since I have visited the site because I had given up giving up. Now I am back in the mind set and am back to day 1. I know I can beat this discusting habit and I am back to being confident. I am using nicotine patches and know I need to put one on first thing in the morning, I can't let those little cravings set in.
Wish me luck and congrats to all those who are succee...
Right, I dont like to write too many stories on this coz i dont want to jinx my effort. Well basically i havent smoked for nearly 2 and half years. No complaints. Just letting people know that the good vibes from quitting continue. Cravings? I Stopped feeling them pretty much from week 1 or 2. Guess I knew I was over it and my mind just resetted. Strange how you go from 40 a day to zilch. Just fe...
I've felt so crap today. My head feels like a big fluffy cloud, but heavy and aching at the same time. I know that doesnt make sense, just putting my thoughts down on paper so to speak. I'm tired and agitated, and snapping at my husband, arrrrrgh!!!
Another day closer to quit date, 3 cigs today, i hate myself everytime i have one. Anyway like chris said '1 day at a time'.
Well what can I say, it's only been two days but so far so good. I have a great friend at work who is keeping me on track. We walk twice a day for 2.8klm each walk which takes approx 30 mins each. Thats 5.6klms per day. It's amazing to think that at the end of the first five days we will have walked 28klms. I'n not over weight but certainly don't want to blow out like a...
