This addiction is actually helping me stop other addictions too!
its important to keep an online journal so you can always look inside and see how long you have quit, this gives you strength on a challenging day, it gives you a pat on the back and this will make you the ultimate winner!! Thanks God for this great community!!
Hi Everyone, I was chatting with a friend the other day and she said something about smoking that I felt was a great point to share. We used to smoke because smoking was a very social thing to do.....however these days smoking is just plain lonely.
So if you don’t want to be lonely....you don’t want to isolate yourself from others....you don’t want to feel shame.....stop smoking
I'm stunned at how few resources there are in Australia to support people who want to quit smoking - this website is the most i could find, and its not really a forum but more for people to put a few 'stories' here and there.
We have the world's most expensive cigarettes! though all the government websites/resources are shallow and hollow.
Any recommendations for podcasts or YouTube channels for quit smoking journeys? For those sleepless nights :)
i have recently been told to start chain smoking. though i take the p*ss out of this website, i was truly hurt that a member of this community told me to take up smoking once more.

Think about your reasons for quitting as this leads to motivation then be determined. My doctor told me motivation is all that is needed to quit, i agree if the reason is big enough (throat cancer ect..) yes for sure that would motivate just about everyone. My reason was imagining i was on my death bed at a young age knowing it was my fault i have shortened my life and now its over. This was a st...

Quitting smoking is one of the hardest experiences, however with the right support it is possible to leave this habit. I struggled for three years with my smoking habit but something marvelous happened three months ago. This all happened when i learnt about this seven day hack that enabled me to quit. Today is my 95th day off the smoke. https://bit.ly/355yhHd
I have found meditation helps heaps....
When I wanted to stop my 60 full strength a day habit I thought about what might happen if I was marooned on an island, my thoughts would be food and water .
I don't believe that under these circumstances the need for a cigarette would come into anyone's mind.
So I considered that I had put myself on an island and a cigarette was not an option, here I am 22 years later, never since have I had o...

Associate yourself to new place where your old habit reminds you, keep walking in new places/garden/mountains and breathe (deep breathe) after 1 month and observe what you missed when your able to breathe easily and deeply... :-)
No amount of nicotine will fix the virus. More nicotine will however hasten likelihood of early death and delay any quit attempts possibly for a long ime. The only time we will have no more stress in our lives is when we are dead. Cigarettes merely delay any other thought processes. Solve absolutely nothing. Having wasted time and more money by inhaling smoke means that we would find ourselves ba...
I noticed that I am also having some really bad dreams/nightmares. Do others have this as well and, if so, how long did it last?
Today marks day 98 of quitting smoking after smoking for around 15 years. I used champix to quit and my last cigarette was on the 10th of September 2019. I feel much better; more energy, better breath, no smell and was disgusted from smell of other people smoking around me.
i had an extremely stressful day today and several problem and unfortunately i smoked one cigarette which made me dizzy an...
I don't know what I am doing differently but I am still smoke free. I get up for a couple of hours most nights. I prayed about it every day. I was so determined not to smoke over sleep deprivation. I was putting myself to bed early each night. Then I would wake up in the middle of the night. I figured if I took up smoking because of lack of sleep I would never be able to stop. Lately I have slept...
After suffering body aches and pains my guess from withdrawal I am still feeling a bit sluggish today. ( lack of interest ) in doing anything Just had something that stressed me out. now I want a cigarette so bad. but I am trying very hard to fight it off. Asking myself is it really worth it. How do you cope with difficult situations especially those early days. I have not gone to shop to buy sm...
You know multiple quit attempts is a positive......if you keep trying it means you are serious about the quit journey. It would be so easy to try and fail and never try again. But everyone who keeps trying knows in their heart and mind that this is something they really want to achieve.....and with every try you will get closer to achieving your goal. I can’t count the quit attempts I h...
