It came to the point that without a cigarette, I was sure that I hallucinated this whole no-more stuff. The pleasures of being without a cigarette at all for 380 days are done deal, and it feels like a new rmd.
I keep trying to put in 'whole'; being smokefree anymore makes me feel whole. Now...if I can place healthy activities in my daily routine...this will be a year to remember. Not many of...
For me just hanging out with smokers when they smoke (restaurants, pubs, work) helps me a lot. I have smoked for 43 years and going cold turkey for the 2nd time in my life. The first time was around 20 years ago and lasted 6 months. Fingers crossed this time around.
I quit vaping cold turkey 10 days ago, i am only 21 and smoked cigarettes for about 1 year and turned to vaping instead a couple of years ago which I preferred - can’t stand the smell/taste of cigarettes anymore.
Each day definitely gets easier than the last. I had quite bad anxiety to begin with, but now it’s skyrocketed! does anyone have any tips on how to deal with this ? At the moment I a...
"I'm gonna smoke just one cigarette to beat the cravings and no more". If you do this, you're gonna want another cigarette 10 minutes after the first one. Don't do it, it's ridiculous and pointless.
EDIT: I didn't do it, this was my coping mechanism
Adopting a belief in yourself and desiring to be a non-smoker can achieve wonders. Many start their journeys thinking that it will be just another failure , but we do learn at each turn and will eventually get there. When you achieve the right mindset, when you believe that this time it will work and commit to the desire, when you realize that smoking never did anything for you, you too will choo...
I turn to a vampire any time i want to, i become a vampire because of how people treat me, this world is a wicked world and not fair to anybody. At the snack of my finger things are made to happen, am now a powerful man and no one steps on me without an apology. I turn to human beings also at any time i want to, and am one of the most dreaded men in my country. I became a vampire through the help...

Hi All, I am 756 days quit today....yay.
I have learnt many things through all of those days. We are stronger than we give ourselves credit for. If we really want something we can and do make it happen...quitting is exactly the same. Wanting to quit and making it happen is within us all.
As in life...don’t focus on the negatives...focus on the positives. Being a non smoker is full of positives ...
When I wanted to stop my 60 full strength a day habit I thought about what might happen if I was marooned on an island, my thoughts would be food and water .
I don't believe that under these circumstances the need for a cigarette would come into anyone's mind.
So I considered that I had put myself on an island and a cigarette was not an option, here I am 22 years later, never since have I had o...
Today, like every day, is a great day to be free of smoking. So for anyone needing a little extra motivation on this fine day maybe this tip helps. That reason you decided to quit. Take a picture, draw a picture, take a mental picture, or carry something that makes you think of that reason. Whenever you get a craving or feeling overwhelmed by quitting look at that visual reminder of why you quit....
"Happiness does not come from doing easy work but from the afterglow of satisfaction that comes after the achievement of a difficult task that demanded our best."
Stay positive. Always believe something wonderful is about to happen. Believe in yourself and stay positive. It will make staying smoke free so much easier.

I've been surrounded by smokers all my life and am now 100% smoke-free. Recently I've actually been collecting stories from people who quit and have got some fantastic quitting ideas, and I hope it can inspire others. Some of the stories I've read include quitting for the sake of your new child, quitting to be accountable to your partner, quitting after trying a particularly nasty cigarette and m...

Just reminding people to stay committed. If its a promise to Quit? A pledge? Maybe a doctors order? Your child's wishes you to stop? Even if you dream of ditching the filthy, Expensive past-time, you can take action. It takes alot of courage at first, but ultimately it is the IN_ACTION of not smoking that turns a smoker into a NON-Smoker. Sounds easy, but, that is how it works.
Happy Easter e...
Associate yourself to new place where your old habit reminds you, keep walking in new places/garden/mountains and breathe (deep breathe) after 1 month and observe what you missed when your able to breathe easily and deeply... :-)
No amount of nicotine will fix the virus. More nicotine will however hasten likelihood of early death and delay any quit attempts possibly for a long ime. The only time we will have no more stress in our lives is when we are dead. Cigarettes merely delay any other thought processes. Solve absolutely nothing. Having wasted time and more money by inhaling smoke means that we would find ourselves ba...
Folks - here in the USA we are about to hit a significant increase on CV-19 numbers. We are just getting our hands around testing capabilities.
What happens next is we will panic, impacting the global economy and increasing stress, anxiety and you guess it - the use of tobacco to manage stress and uncertainty.
Be strong people, this is the exact type of event that will drive us back to the c...
Go for long walks, listen to music, multi vitamins, lots of water, exercise, get minties
Each time you smoke, you are:-
1. Literally burning a part of your hard earned money
2. Feeding dangerous chemicals to your body
3. Going away from lofe with each puff
4. increasing the risk of unhealthy death
i believe none of the above is warranted in a sane person's life
