I've just quit after 38 years of smoking and have long views the filthy, expensive habit as a friend and stress reliever. I now know it's my worst enemy. Day two and I am using Champix and drinking lots of green tea and just eating what I want...but not too much. Today it was salty chips. Any advice for long term success? Thanks Tracey
Today is the day that I say goodbye to the ciggies. I am doing this for my health I have had 2 lots of virus in a month so it’s time. I feel it’s a gentle warning sign. So here goes .

Stick with it

Hi. I am 49. I am on my 4th day of being on champix. Still smoking but have cut back. This is my 3rd time. But previously I didn't take the full course of the tablets as I thought I was strong enough but relapsed. Stinking to the whole 6 months course this time.
I have tried numerous times to quit but I believe mentally you have to be ready to quit - talking to others about there quit journey allows you put yourself in there shoes making it seem possible. Then it’s the constant thought of reminding yourself why you want to quit in the first place. It’s not easy but talking it out definitely helps I will try and try again until I can on day say no thanks ...
