Day 456 Staying Quit

Posted in Staying quit
schedule 10 Jun 2021

I have not smoke for 456Days according to my calender. It's very difficult at the beginning and I wasn't sure if I can do this. Since three months ago, my mind somehow have completely stop telling me that "I need a ciggeratte"; I don't actually need a ciggeratte at the morning, I don't need one after meal, I don't need it with my favourite coffee, and I don't need it before bed. After 23 years of smoking life, I believe I have successfully quit smoking.

schedule 10 Jun 2021

We can quit smoking, and we know we are successful when we can BELIEVE that we are. A craving may pop up 30 years from now, a memory, like a smell that brings about recall. A craving is a thought, nothing more, so let it go and think of something else.

When you want to quit smoking, and do so and are happy with every aspect of the quit with no feelings of regret (like boredom, missing it, feeling anxious) we can be pretty safe in calling ourselves successful. Knowing why we smoked and the brainwashing we under went keeps us Happy Non-Smokers. All we have to remember is N>O>P>E. Not One Puff Ever!

Congratulations!
