Shedding Kilos

Hi all, sorry i haven't dropped in for awhile, had 1 or 2 health scares
and under Drs. orders i had to shed some kilos. Being the impulsive type, I through myself at it and ended up with some more health issues. I forgot the old mantra K.I.S.S. Anyway Im approaching it differently, and appear to to be having some success without killing myself. The good news is I'm coming up to 16 weeks smoke free in 2 days. Can't believe how quickly it has gone, Days turn into weeks, Weeks turn into Months. I'm so very grateful for this lease of life I've been given and feel blessed. For those just starting out, keep at it, you can do it and be free and wealthier in all areas. Cheers!

It's good to hear from you Mandella. I am so happy to know that you have remained Smoke free. You are enjoying life as a non-smoker I see. Once we can do that it is clear sailing for most. You will apply the mindset to other areas of your life to your benefit. Positive thinking is so important. I assume KISS stands for Keep in Shape....... I quit smoking no problem but could not the motivation to exercise. That was probably a cause of a stroke. I now find the time to exercise and have lost weight. It may have been worse if I had not quit smoking, same as you. I will never give the nicotine monster a chance to blind me again. N>O>P>E.

Great to hear from you happiness, and thank you for your words. my mention of K.I.S.S. in the context of my story yesterday was Keep It Simple Stupid meaning I took off on this exercise/diet kick full on and wore myself into the ground and hospital within 10 days. Today I am keeping it simple by eating more nutritionally and I am under a exercise regime put together by the physios from the hospital. 65 years of age in the body, 18 years of age in the head. Slow learner right here!!

You too eh? What I am not 16? Where did the time go and what happened to my body? We are getting smarter with age though. Keep well my friend.

Fast forward three years Mandella. Reading a post to which you responded back then brings back memories. I have recovered well from my stroke and exercise regularly. I hope that you too have remained smoke free and living a healthier, happier life style. I lost almost 40 pounds just by cutting condiments, and choosing healthier, sating foods overall. I need to revisit that way of thinking and lose the 10 lbs that I put back on due to lack of exercise due to pain, due to a "statin" I was on for cholesterol. Not fair when I worked so hard and could eat almost anything within reason. I am

I would love to hear from you and how you are doing. Drop a line on my page, or just give a response to someone in need. Take care my friend!
