i have changed my morning routine.

Hi Qorbet,
Thats awesome work. One day at a time!
What did you end up changing up that helped you?

If changing the routine works, keep it up. I used to have a smoke while i waited for the kettle to boil, now i wash the dishes and make the bed before i sit down to my coffee and this forum while i wait for my pokerstars game to start. . My mind is occupied and my fingers are busy, I am free and enjoying life without the need to smoke.
Great start gorbet. Wake up looking forward to something every day. Being happy helps our bodies to manufacture even more dopamine and you will miss the hit of nicotine less. Think positive and stay free!
Yay keep going. You can do this. Be stubborn. I have not smoked for nearly 3 weeks. I’ve had good days and not so good but mostly good lol. I can breathe much easier and hey no more coughing. Stay strong one day at a time. Also just think if you are having a bad day, tomorrow might be a better day so don’t give in. All the best ❤️💋❤️

I am finding smells are easier to tell what they are. I am not coughing so much, but do find that I am wanting to sleep more.

I slept like a baby when i first quit, simply because I was breathing better and not wheezing. 6 months in I am finding myself taking unplanned naps, The problem then becomes that I sometimes can't sleep at night. Retiring and having the luxury of time,is not always to our advantage.
Smoking caused us anxiety, it did not relieve it. Perhaps you sleep more because you are content and less anxious . We get too relaxed and in my case lethargic at times. Perhaps planning your day ahead, and with something to look forward to will help if this is a problem for you.
