15 days nicotine free

Hi everyone. I have now been 15 days nicotine/smoke free. I started using Zyban about a week before I stopped smoking and haven't looked back.
I started smoking when I was nineteen and have been smoking for 30 years now. Oops... showing my age here haha.
I have been around friends that smoke and have no cravings or wanting to smoke. The smell is familiar of course but that is about it for me. I just don't want to smoke anymore.
I also gave up sugars, alcohol and anything that contains preservatives. I figured if I am going to quit smoking I may as well quit other things at the same time to get my health back on track. I am also doing more walking and bicycle riding to increase my fitness levels. I haven't needed to replace smoking with lollies or chews and I think Zyban may have something to do with this as my appetite hasn't increased much. I enjoy my morning coffee without a smoke even more now.
At 15 days I have stopped coughing, breathing easier and my sense of smell and taste is starting to improve a little.
I know I can do this quit for good :)

Hey Peter,
I really enjoyed ready your post! Loved the combination of humour and realism. Gosh, you'll be squeaky clean haha. I'm going down the slide of coming off small dose of NRT without too many dramas. I also don't drink and eat predominantly healthy every day. I walk heaps which helps to distract me. I know another who was on Zyban and same as you, didn't want a smoke. The person also had no problems whatsoever coming off it and is still smoke free.
You are totally winning it and I'm super duper happy for you!!!

Hello and welcome Peter. Congrats on your quitting progress, well done. Sounds like you're in a good place. My journey is very similar to yours , I used Champix and I had been smoking for over 30 years. I have been smoke free for 13 months now. I walk most days and in between, I dance and do a few exercises.....just to vary it. I also made some small lifestyle changes to diet and I feel way better.
Keep up the good work, you can do it.
Cheers :D
